Board to Discuss Referendum on November 10th

Dear Livingston Families:
As the district continues its discussions regarding a potential referendum, we believe it is important to keep our community updated and share information every step of the way.
At the next Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Heritage Middle School Auditorium, the district architect will present updated projects that reflect building priorities and community input for the Board to review and discuss. This is part of the district’s ongoing effort to carefully evaluate potential projects, explore options, and balance the needs of our schools with our responsibility to taxpayers.
No referendum-related vote will take place at this meeting. The district remains in the planning stages, and these discussions are an important part of ensuring that accurate and complete information is available before any decisions are made.
We understand that community members have questions about what a referendum could mean for them and Livingston Public Schools. We encourage residents to attend Board of Education meetings to learn more and hear these discussions firsthand. Board meetings include time for public comment, but are not structured as Q&A sessions. Some questions may be addressed at the end of the public comment period for information purposes.
Community members will have opportunities to learn more and ask questions at public forums that will be held following the state’s review of a proposed project.
For the latest information, please visit the Referendum Resources webpage, where materials and updates will be shared throughout this process.
Thank you for your continued engagement as we explore options to plan for the future of Livingston Public Schools.
Sincerely,
Mark Stern
Superintendent of Schools
